Greenlit Dark is a private generation platform for film productions. This policy explains what we collect, why we hold it, and what we refuse to do with it. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.
What we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, login credentials, and the production you belong to.
Production material. Prompts you write, reference images, video and audio you upload, take names, scene and beat tags, and the footage generated for you.
Clearance paperwork. Signed AI likeness releases and the performer records attached to them. This material is the legal spine of the platform and is handled accordingly.
Billing records. Deposits, balances, and per-render charges. Card numbers are never stored by us — payments are handled by our payment processor.
Operational records. A hash-chained audit ledger recording generation requests, review decisions, deletions, and clearance events.
How we use it
To generate the footage you ask for, to run the human review that clears masters for download, to prove chain of custody for your production, to bill accurately, and to keep the platform secure. That is the whole list.
Who we share it with
Generation providers. Prompts and references are transmitted to the AI provider that renders your shot. We use paid-tier API access, where the provider does not use submitted content to train its models.
Payment processor. Deposit amounts and transaction identifiers only.
Nobody else. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your scripts, footage, or references to train any model of our own.
How long we keep it
Production material is retained while your production is active because the audit record depends on it — a reference that helped make a shot is part of that shot’s evidence. Deleting a take or an upload in your Screening Room removes it from your working views and records the deletion in the ledger; the underlying file is retained as evidence of what was made and when. Ask us in writing and we will tell you exactly what is held for your production.
How it is protected
Uploads and masters live in protected storage outside the public web path and are served only through authenticated endpoints. Producers see only their own material. Finished masters are released only after human review approves them. Every clearance decision is written to an append-only ledger.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the account and production data we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account. Write to support@greenlitdark.com and we will respond. Closing an account does not erase audit records we are required to keep to defend the footage already delivered.
Children
Greenlit Dark is a professional tool for film production and is not directed to anyone under 18.
